Welcome! I’m Sher Creel, Photographic Artist & Graphic Designer. I view life as if looking through a camera lens. My background has been in photography, layout and print; however, my passion is to use emerging technology to blend that photography and my artistic/painting ability to create traditional or contemporary digital paintings of vibrant colors, texture, and abstract effects. Here, you’ll find here some of my favorite paintings, all of which originated from my photographs. Techniques vary from painting to painting in this collection, but it is important to remember that each of these mixed media creations began with a simple digital photograph. Through careful, digital brush work, color manipulation, and other digital techniques, these images evolve into an expression of imagination and a true work of art. Creating these vibrant digital portraits and paintings is a joy for me! You'll find I am a passionate artist, armed with a camera and a wacky sense of humor. Baby, Can I Drive Your Car?!

At a recent photo shoot with a precious young lady Harriet, we came upon the most adorable "seat" at a downtown Lafayette, LA, restaurant.  Here, she and my daughter Britt try out the back seat of this little "car"... not sure what kind it was but it was adorable!  This is just an example of going with what you're given as far as backdrops... we were just doing a walk-about, taking advantage of all the wrought iron, brightly painted walls and windows we came across, and having fun all along the way.  Had a GREAT time plus got some awesome pics!
